Stephen J. Gawrylewski,
Managing Director
Steve
has more than 30 years experience in turnarounds, financial
and operational restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions.
He has played a leadership role in restructuring distressed
companies in numerous industries, serving as CEO, CRO or as
Financial Advisor. Steve has extensive experience in the chemicals,
transportation, heavy manufacturing, automotive and consumer
goods manufacturing. In addition, he has led numerous engagements
in the paper, textile and plastics industries with printing
applications.
Steve
also has extensive manufacturing experience; he was President
and CEO of C.T. Film Corporation, and General Engineering
Manager at Tenneco Chemicals.
Since
April 2010, Steve has served as CRO/Interim CEO of National
Envelope Corporation, a $650 million privately-held paper
products company currently in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Some
of the other significant engagements Steve has led in the
manufacturing sector include Allied Holdings, General Chemical,
MHF Logistics, Culligan Inc., Atlantic Envelope, Twin Labs,
National Machinery Co., Aladdin Industries, Crown Vantage,
Champion Inc., Smurfit Stone Container, Universal Fibers Burlington
Industries and General Cable Inc. His clients include both
publicly-held and privately-owned companies ranging from $50
million to $3.5 billion in revenues.
Steve’s
equity sponsor clients have included Investcorp, KPS, Monomoy,
Citicorp Venture Capital, Sterling Ventures, Palladium Equity
Partners, RFE Investment Partners, Atlas Holdings and Pegasus
Partners.
Prior
to joining LM+Co, Steve was with Huron Consulting Group and
previously served as a Partner in the Restructuring Practices
of Deloitte & Touche LLP, and Arthur Andersen LLP.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science from
the University of Maryland. He is a member of the Turnaround
Management Association (TMA).
