Patrick J. Fodale, Managing Director

Pat is a seasoned restructuring professional and financial executive with over 25 years business experience, including advising numerous underperforming companies on turnaround and profitability improvement strategies. Pat has extensive experience in the retail, distribution, transportation and manufacturing industries.

Pat is currently advising Medical Staffing Network, one of the largest diversified healthcare staffing companies in the U.S., as MSN reorganizes under Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Pat’s recent experience includes advising a $600 million national distributor/retailer of truck parts on performance improvement initiatives, and serving as the CRO of two distressed middle market companies. Pat recently served as COO of United Road Towing, a $125 million national provider of towing and recovery services that was spun off from United Road Services. His restructuring clients have also included Greatwide Logistics Services, a $1.2 billion transportation and logistics provider; Werner Ladder Corporation, a $400 million climbing products manufacturer; and Safelite Group, Inc., a $600 million auto glass manufacturer and installer.

Prior to joining LM+Co, Pat spent eight years as a restructuring CFO, specifically recruited by companies experiencing financial distress. Pat served as CFO of United Road Services, a $260 million, publicly-held national provider of vehicle transportation and towing services. During his two-year tenure, he reduced overhead costs, disposed of unprofitable divisions and relocated the corporate headquarters to substantially improve operating results. Pat also served as CFO of HomePlace , a $450 million housewares and home furnishings retailer until it successfully emerged from Chapter 11 through its merger with a competing retailer. Prior to HomePlace , Pat served as CFO of Color Tile, a $400 million national retailer of floor covering products operating under Chapter 11. Additionally, Pat spent five years as a turnaround consultant at a Big 5 firm.

Pat holds a Master’s Degree of Accountancy and a Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration, both from the University of Michigan. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP).
