Thomas E. Pernsteiner, Managing Director

Tom Pernsteiner works with managers, investors and creditors to help companies improve their market, competitive and financial performance. Tom has 15 years of corporate strategy and restructuring experience. Prior to joining LM+Co, Tom was a partner in Booz Allen Hamilton’s automotive and strategy practices.

Tom has worked with a wide range of companies in both North America and Europe. Tom has substantial expertise in the automotive sector. His industry experience also includes: agriculture, apparel, building products, capital equipment, consumer goods, financial services, media, process industries and retail. His work most often involves designing and executing strategies that quickly deliver step-change improvements in financial performance and enduring competitive advantage.

He earned an MBA from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He is a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP). He has published numerous business articles.
