Nelson J. Andrade

Nelson has 11 years of finance and restructuring experience.  At LM+Co he has provided advisory services to lenders, sponsors and companies with revenues ranging from $200 million to $6 billion in a wide range of industries such as home building products, life insurance, textile, food + beverage, pulp + paper and retail.  Nelson has worked on several creditor advisory engagements, including  Masonite International, Atrium Windows and Doors, Interstate Bakeries Corp., Blockbuster, Inc., a private building products manufacturer and a large investor in life insurance products.  Nelson has also worked on debtor advisory engagements, most recently National Envelope Corporation.

Prior to joining LM+Co, Nelson was a senior financial analyst in International Treasury with International Paper, where he was responsible for global foreign exchange hedging strategy and execution.  Nelson served as a Senior Risk Analyst at Banco do Brasil - New York, where he monitored a portfolio of well over $5 billion of assets.  Originally from Brazil, Nelson worked as a financial analyst for five years before coming to the U.S. 

Nelson earned his MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from University of São Paulo, Brazil.  He is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA). Nelson is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

 

Michael N. Brown

Michael has more than seven years of finance, accounting and managerial consulting experience, including four years of Turnaround and Restructuring experience. Since joining LM+Co, Michael has been involved in all aspects of the restructuring and turnaround profession, working with companies ranging from $50 million to $3 billion in revenue.

Michael’s debtor advisory experience includes full time treasury management, along with a multitude of other internal undertakings including process improvement and profitability analysis. Recent engagements include Ramsey Industries, Blue Water Automotive, a major Caribbean marina and retail development, Perry Manufacturing, Health South and Anvil Knitwear. Additionally, Michael has served as creditor advisor to senior lenders, unsecured creditors and equity sponsors. Recent engagements include Dollar Thrifty Rental Car, Champion Enterprises, Steve & Barry’s, Against All Odds, Rosebys, Dan River, Best Textiles and Global Home Products.

Prior to joining LM+Co, Michael worked with Terex Corporation in the corporate tax and finance department, where he created a global cash repatriation model/system. After leaving Terex Michael spent two years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Business Advisory Services group.  Michael worked on large multinational accounts such as Xerox, Pitney Bowes and Bear Sterns.

Michael earned his MBA in Accounting and Taxation from the Charles F. Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fairfield University. Michael is a member of the (AIRA), and is working towards his Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) designation.

 

B. Douglas Henry

Douglas has more than nine years of accounting, finance and restructuring experience. At LM+Co he has provided advisory services to senior lenders, equity sponsors and companies with revenues ranging from $50 million to $500 million, across multiple industries.

Prior to joining LM+Co, Douglas’s experiences included assessing operating performance programs for SBC Communications, Qwest Communications, and AT&T, and performing financial due diligence for middle market private equity and strategic buyers primarily in the manufacturing, service and technology industries.

While at LM+Co, Douglas has represented senior lenders in various restructuring cases in both media and manufacturing industries. Recent restructuring engagements have included Freedom Communications and Champion Home Builders.

Douglas was a Manager in the Transaction Support division of Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services group in Chicago. He has also worked with JP Morgan in Secondary Loan Trading and Fixed Income Derivatives Structuring in London, with The Citadel Investment Group as a Capital Structure Analyst, and with Arthur Andersen, where Douglas began his career as a financial statement auditor.

Douglas earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School, and received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Arkansas.  He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Aaron M. Kibbey

Aaron has more than 15 years of management and operations experience, including 11 years in corporate finance, M+A and restructuring. His recent engagements with LM+Co include Pamal Broadcasting, a public radio broadcaster, Young Broadcasting, Thompson Publishing, New Vision Television and Capmark.

Prior to joining LM+Co, Aaron was the founder and principal of A-K Partners, which provided M+A advisory services, post-acquisition integration and performance improvement assistance to telecommunications companies, banks and private equity firms. Before independent consulting, Aaron served as the Director of M+A and Business Development for RCN Corporation, one of the nation’s largest over-builders of competitive broadband telecommunications services. In this role, he led the company’s post-Chapter 11 restructuring efforts to identify and divest non-core assets in order to strengthen RCN’s competitive position within the industry. Aaron was instrumental in determining the company’s strategy, identifying potential buyers, leading the due-diligence process, developing valuations, managing negotiations and closing strategic transactions.

Aaron was also part of the senior management team responsible for leading a successful Chapter 11 restructuring and turnaround of the company to include restructuring $1.8 billion in debt. As a member of this team, he led the development and implementation of the operations plan and also led the performance improvement initiatives primarily focused on critical operations functions. Leading up to RCN’s bankruptcy, Aaron served in a variety of crisis management roles within the company to include general management, sales and operations. His extensive experience working within a distressed public corporation provides him with first-hand knowledge of the challenges and issues facing senior management teams considering or executing a restructuring plan.

Aaron earned his MBA, with honors, in Finance and Corporate Accounting from the University of Rochester. He also earned a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri, Rolla and holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Aaron served in the United States Army as an airborne ranger and engineer with combat tours in Somalia and Haiti.

William Swint

Will has more than eight years of in-depth experience with leveraged finance, corporate finance and distressed lending transactions. His experience includes underwriting, structuring, syndicating and trading the full spectrum of debt products, including asset-based facilities, senior secured loans, second lien loans, high yield bonds and mezzanine loans. Since joining LM+Co, Will has been advising lenders as they evaluate and implement alternatives related to distressed loan investments.

Prior to joining LM+Co, Will was a Senior Associate at GB Merchant Partners, a distressed credit hedge fund with a focus on retail, consumer products and industrial companies. Prior to joining GB Merchant Partners, Will was a Senior Associate in Credit Agricole’s Leveraged Finance Group in London. He was responsible for executing financing transactions from inception to closing, leading all aspects of the transaction, including due diligence, facility structuring, and marketing and syndication. Notable transactions include The Children’s Place, Claire’s Stores, Levi Strauss & Co., Walker Industries, Baxi Holdings, Hogg Robinson Group, HomeGoods and Travelodge.

Will earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.   Will is working towards a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) designation.
